Gap to End-TB targets in eastern China: A joinpoint analysis from population-based notification data in Zhejiang Province, China, 2005–2018

BackgroundZhejiang is a southeastern province of China with middle level notification rates tuberculosis in China, but more than 27,000 pulmonary (PTB) cases are still reported annually this province. We aimed to analyze the time trends PTB and bacteriologically confirmed at city levels Zhejiang during 2005–2018.MethodsData from web-based TB Information Management System Province were used calculate annual per 100,000 population for its 11 cities. The joinpoint regression method was percentage change rates.ResultsThere 480,668 notified 2005–2018, 38.78% which cases. Both have declined since 2007. Most cities’ same as Province. males elderly people highest both sexes among four age groups, decline speeds two groups slowest.ConclusionsWith effective implementation control measures projects, declined. In order reach target 2035 End Strategy, additional efforts should be made diagnosis treatment patients, particularly regard older adult people.
